Mexico City International Airport has a new lounge that never closes. Global Lounge Network has opened Harmony Lounge CDMX T2 in Terminal 2. The company announced the opening on September 9, and it says the lounge runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
For travelers, the big news is access. Global Lounge Network says you can get in with Priority Pass or Mastercard Airport Experiences, through its own memberships, or by buying a walk-up day pass. That gives Terminal 2 one more option for card holders who do not have airline status.
Where it is and what's inside
The lounge is airside in Terminal 2, on the first floor, after security. Global Lounge Network says it serves both domestic and international travelers.
According to the company, the lounge offers:
- Food and drink: a self-service buffet with warm snacks and appetizers, espresso, soft drinks and a selection of alcoholic drinks.
- Seating and work space: leather armchairs, private seating nooks, charging points, and work and conference areas.
- A kids' area: a separate space with colorful decor and entertainment for children.
- The basics: fast Wi-Fi, TVs, private restrooms and live flight screens.
The release does not mention showers, and it does not list day-pass prices or how long you can stay. If those details matter to your trip, check with the lounge before you fly. We have added it to our directory as Harmony Lounge CDMX T2.
Why a 24-hour lounge matters here
A lounge that stays open around the clock is useful if you connect late at night, fly out at dawn, or get stuck with a long delay.
"Our goal is simple: transform airport wait times into moments of relaxation and productivity," a Global Lounge Network spokesperson said in the announcement.
Other lounges in Terminal 2
Terminal 2 is Aeroméxico's base, and it already has some strong lounges. How useful Harmony is to you depends on how you are getting in.
- Priority Pass members now have Harmony as a choice in Terminal 2. Our directory also lists The Grand Lounge Elite at the airport as open to Priority Pass, DragonPass and LoungeKey.
- Amex Platinum and Centurion card members can use The Centurion Lounge in Terminal 2, one of the better-rated lounges in our Mexico City listings.
- Aeroméxico and SkyTeam premium flyers have the Aeroméxico Salón Premier for international flights and the Salón Premier for domestic flights.
If you have a choice, our directory lists showers at the Centurion and Salón Premier lounges, which Harmony's announcement does not mention. Harmony's edge is that it is open all night and sells passes to anyone.
You can compare every lounge at the airport on our Mexico City airport page.
What we still don't know
The announcement leaves some questions open:
- It does not give walk-up prices.
- It does not say how many people the lounge seats.
- It does not say whether Priority Pass visits have time limits or busy-hour restrictions.
