Planning a trip between Australia and Doha next year? Qatar Airways Privilege Club will pay up to 12,000 bonus Avios per flight if you book in the next few weeks.

The offer covers flights in 2027 but must be booked by October 30, 2026. Here is how it works.

The offer at a glance

According to Qatar's terms, as published by LoyaltyLobby on October 9:

  • Promo code: FLYQRVA27.
  • Book: October 6 to October 30, 2026.
  • Fly: January 17 to October 31, 2027.
  • Where to book: qatarairways.com or the Qatar Airways app.

How many Avios you get

The bonus is a fixed number of Avios for each flight between Doha and Australia, in either direction:

  • Economy Classic and Economy Convenience: 3,000 bonus Avios.
  • Economy Comfort: 6,000 bonus Avios.
  • Business and First: 12,000 bonus Avios.

A round trip in business class between Doha and Australia would earn 24,000 bonus Avios on top of your normal earnings.

Which routes count

The offer covers flights between Doha and six Australian cities:

  • Melbourne (MEL)
  • Sydney (SYD)
  • Brisbane (BNE)
  • Perth (PER)
  • Adelaide (ADL)
  • Canberra (CBR)

Flights must be marketed by Qatar Airways, which means a Qatar flight number. They can be operated by Qatar Airways or by its partner Virgin Australia.

The fine print

LoyaltyLobby's copy of the terms includes these rules:

  • Only paid tickets count, including Cash + Avios. Award tickets do not.
  • The bonus Avios are credited within 14 days after you fly.
  • You cannot combine the offer with other deals.

Remember to enter the code before you pay, and add your Privilege Club number so the bonus has somewhere to go.

How it compares with last year

Qatar ran a similar offer last year under the code FLYQRVA. The version of the offer page we could load still shows those older terms. It used multipliers instead of fixed amounts: 1.5 or 2 times the Avios in economy and 2.5 times in business and first. It also covered Auckland. The new terms reported by LoyaltyLobby do not list Auckland.

Fixed amounts are easier to understand. Whether they are better depends on your fare, since the old multipliers grew with the base Avios you earned.

Is it worth it?

If you were already going to fly Qatar to or from Australia next year, yes. There is no cost to add the code, and 12,000 Avios each way in business is a real bonus.

It is less useful if:

  • You plan to use Avios for the flight, since awards do not count.
  • You are not sure of your dates. Check the change rules on your fare before you book far ahead.
  • You can find a much cheaper fare on another site. The bonus only works when you book on Qatar's own site or app.

Your stop in Doha

Qatar's flights from Australia land at Hamad International. Business class passengers can use the Al Mourjan Business Lounge (South) or The Garden. First class passengers have the Al Safwa First Lounge.
